Mrs. Krissy Manalo – Montessori Directress & Head of School

Mrs. Manalo has had over 24 years of experience working with children including those in Montessori schools located in Manila and Vancouver. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Education at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. She then received her Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Primary Diploma at the Montessori Training Centre of British Columbia, where she continues to volunteer her free time when her schedule permits.

Mrs. Manalo is also a certified children’s yoga teacher and adult yoga instructor. She enjoys the performing arts – most especially singing, dancing, and playing the ukelele. She often incorporates her musical selections, love for the arts and literature, and other wide interests into her Montessori environment. She also sings with her church choir every Sunday.

She is happily married and is blessed to be a mother of three lovely children whose unique ways of looking at the world continuously inspire her as she goes about her work as an educator.

"I am very honored and humbled to be heading the school. I look forward to continue the good work that has been established, to integrate my own unique experiences into the environment, and to work well with the children in the hopes that they reach their fullest potential during their crucial developmental years."
