FAQ

Why should you send your child to a Montessori School?

A Montessori school is about education for the whole child.  The best time to start a child’s education is between the formative years of 2.5 to 3.5 years.  Most of the child’s intelligence and social characteristics are formed before the age of six.  Montessori students learn at their own pace and the Montessori method seeks to address, not just the typical aspects of learning such as mathematics and language, but, more importantly, the child’s development of their social character, their understanding of the world, and fundamental life skills for their future as adults.  This learning ensures that the children ending a three-year cycle of Montessori learning are best prepared to deal with the challenges that they will face in elementary school and beyond.

Do you offer a two or three day program?

Unfortunately, no. As part of the Montessori philosophy, the consistency of attending school every day is necessary for children to settle into the behavioural expectations so that they can focus on the learning experience offered to them at our school. In this way, we can help each child to reach their personal potential.  Our morning and afternoon classes are 5 days per week.

How do your students do when they move to other schools?

While all students can react differently to change and other schools, we believe that their Montessori education is perfectly suited for preparing them for elementary school.  Children will benefit the most from completing the three-year cycle.  They will learn to work independently and cooperatively in groups; they will learn about themselves and where they are in this world. Montessori students learn to be problem solvers, are encouraged to make their own decisions, and are life-long curious learners.  This will help Montessori children with their self-esteem and self-confidence, and they will ultimately react faster and adapt better to  challenges in the future.

What are the qualifications of your staff?

All teaching staff of Morgan Creek Montessori have their respective Montessori certifications from the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).  In addition, all staff have their updated Early Childhood Education and First Aid certifications.

What is your tuition payment schedule?
