Carrie Schepens – Owner & Administrator
Carrie is the owner and administrator of Morgan Creek Montessori. She took over ownership of the school in 2008 and has made many positive changes to the program. Carrie has a deep passion for Montessori education, having started herself at three years of age. She graduated with her AMI Casa Diploma in 2005 and her AMI Assistants to Infancy (Infant/Toddler) Diploma in 2012. She also has her Bachelors of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Calgary. Outside of school, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dogs, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
Irene Febres-Cordero – Directress
Irene’s passion is to work with children and to work in Montessori education. She believes that Montessori is not just an education methodology, it is a philosophy of life. Irene began her own Montessori education as a young child, attending her mother’s Montessori school. She obtained her AMI Assistants Diploma in 2012 and her AMI Casa Diploma in 2016. Irene also holds her Bachelors of Arts in Education with a minor in Psychology from San Francisco de Quito University, Ecuador. She has worked with children for many years in Ecuador and a year abroad in England. When she is not with children, Irene likes to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures.
Beenish Adil – Assistant
Beenish joined our school as the Assistant Guide in 2017 after completing her AMI Assistants Diploma. Prior to this she did her Masters in English Literature and worked as a Lecturer at the National University of Modern Languages in Pakistan for six years. Beenish has a strong passion for teaching and she believes that early positive learning plays a vital role in building a strong foundation for a child’s bright future. It is great joy for her to now work with young children. Outside of school Beenish likes to spend time with her family and children, reading books, and traveling.
